PSE material
It consists of insulating material obtained by pressing glass fiber fragments pre-impregnated with an adhesive material in state B.
Prepreg is used for cementing interblock bars of wind and water-powered generator windings.
- Prepreg is available in 0.4; 0.6; 0.8; 1.0; 1.2 mm thick. The mean deviation from the nominal thickness is ± 0.2 mm. The maximum deviation from the nominal thickness due to a possible local influx of adhesive material, which does not affect later processing of prepreg by pressing, is not specified. Prepregs of other nominal thicknesses can be manufactured in agreement with the customer.
- Prepreg shall be imported in sheets 1000 mm long (with maximum deviations ± 20 mm) and 1000 mm wide (with maximum deviations ± 20 mm). It is allowed to import prepreg sheets of smaller sizes than those specified, but no less than 100-200 mm, in an amount of at least 10% of the manufacture scope.
- Prepreg sheets shall be evenly trimmed, the sheet surface shall be homogeneous, without folds of fiberglass and other external defects. Traces of the separation layer, air bubbles, as well as clear lines on the sheets edges after trimming are allowed on the sheets surface.
- The mass fraction of adhesive material in prepreg shall be at least 45%.
- Prepreg shrinkage to the width of pressing mode specified in the technical specifications shall be at least 30%.
- The mass fraction of volatile substances in prepreg shall not exceed 0.5%.
- Resin content in prepreg, determined in accordance with the specifications, shall be at least 40%.
- Electrical resistance of prepreg after pressing shall be at least 12 kV/mm.
- Pressing with preheated (100 ± 2) °C press with closed containers for (10.0 ±0.5) minutes;
- Pressing under pressure (2.0 ± 0.1) MPa with an increase in temperature to (160 ± 2) ° C for (10 ± 0.5) minutes;
Pressing under pressure (2.0 ± 0.1) MPa at a temperature of (160 ± 2) °C for (30.0 ± 0.5) minutes; - in precise execution under refrigerant pressure up to room temperature.
After cooling, samples are kept at room temperature for at least 24 hours.
Electrical resistance is determined on alternating current and outdoors at a smoothly increasing voltage. Electrode diameter: 25/75 mm
Storage
The warranty shelf life of prepreg at room temperature is 3 months, and at cooler temperatures 5-6 months.
Prepreg PSEN
PCEN mica prepreg (later called "prepreg") is designed to align transposition along the narrow edges of bars when manufacturing wind and water-powered generator with F class heat resistance system.
Prepreg is an insulating material that consists of one or more layers of mica paper glued together and impregnated with modified epoxy glue. Legend for prepregs labeling:
- P: pre-impregnated;
- C: made of mica;
- EH: epoxy adhesive.
- Prepreg shall be imported: - 0.20 mm thick - in rolls with a width of 1025 ± 10 mm
- and diameter of no more than 300 mm, in a cardboard core with inner diameter of 152 mm;
- 0.50 mm thick;
- and - in sheets 1000 mm long and 500 mm wide, with maximum deviations of 10 - 30 mm.
2. Nominal prepreg thickness and maximum prepreg thickness deviations
- shall meet parameters specified in Table 1.
- Prepreg rolls shall be wrapped with a polyethylene separation film.

- At a temperature of 15 - 35 °C and relative humidity of 45 - 75%: three months from the date of manufacture;
- At a temperature of (5 3) °C: 12 months from the date of manufacture.
After the warranty period expires, prepreg shall be checked for compliance with the required characteristics in accordance with the technical regulations before use. If all the technical conditions are met, prepreg can be used.
