PSE material

It consists of insulating material obtained by pressing glass fiber fragments pre-impregnated with an adhesive material in state B.


Prepreg is used for cementing interblock bars of wind and water-powered generator windings.

  • Prepreg is available in 0.4; 0.6; 0.8; 1.0; 1.2 mm thick. The mean deviation from the nominal thickness is ± 0.2 mm. The maximum deviation from the nominal thickness due to a possible local influx of adhesive material, which does not affect later processing of prepreg by pressing, is not specified. Prepregs of other nominal thicknesses can be manufactured in agreement with the customer.
  • Prepreg shall be imported in sheets 1000 mm long (with maximum deviations ± 20 mm) and 1000 mm wide (with maximum deviations ± 20 mm). It is allowed to import prepreg sheets of smaller sizes than those specified, but no less than 100-200 mm, in an amount of at least 10% of the manufacture scope.

Prepreg PSEN

PCEN mica prepreg (later called "prepreg") is designed to align transposition along the narrow edges of bars when manufacturing wind and water-powered generator with F class heat resistance system.


Prepreg is an insulating material that consists of one or more layers of mica paper glued together and impregnated with modified epoxy glue. Legend for prepregs labeling:

  • P: pre-impregnated;
  • C: made of mica;
  • EH: epoxy adhesive.
Basic parameters and characteristics
  1. Prepreg shall be imported: - 0.20 mm thick - in rolls with a width of 1025 ± 10 mm
  • and diameter of no more than 300 mm, in a cardboard core with inner diameter of 152 mm;
  • 0.50 mm thick;
  • and - in sheets 1000 mm long and 500 mm wide, with maximum deviations of 10 - 30 mm.

2. Nominal prepreg thickness and maximum prepreg thickness deviations
  • shall meet parameters specified in Table 1.
  • Prepreg rolls shall be wrapped with a polyethylene separation film.

The shelf life is:

  • At a temperature of 15 - 35 °C and relative humidity of 45 - 75%: three months from the date of manufacture;
  • At a temperature of (5 3) °C: 12 months from the date of manufacture.

After the warranty period expires, prepreg shall be checked for compliance with the required characteristics in accordance with the technical regulations before use. If all the technical conditions are met, prepreg can be used.

Thickness:

  • 0.23;0.25 mm
  • 0.30;0.32;0.37 mm
  • 0.47

It is imported in rolls. Shelf life: 12 months.
